is very important to us. We ensure safety at all times especially
whilst using high ladders. Insurance documentation is available
upon request.

to scrub your screens clean.
Who is the owner, how long on the GC?
The owner of I can see clearly now is

Domestic
questions
What do you look
for when determining a quote/costing for a home?
Click on the pricing icon & read the
text. The main factor is always the level of dirt OR builders
muck to be cleaned.
Also the amount of glass to be cleaned & how long it will
take to reach our high standards.
How do you ‘work clean’?
We use a high powered vacuum to suck clean
the tracks, drop sheets & towels are always used to protect
carpets & furniture, we are happy to sweep decks etc. We
usually mop hi rise balconies. All measures are taken to leave
your property spotless.
How often
should I get my home clean?
Factors apply to this question. Beach
front homes or high rise units need a lot of attention. Particularly
at the stormy time of the year to remove salt build up.
eg. Full service once a year then 2 or 3 outside glass &
high traffic area cleans should do it. Water front homes are
similar. As for the many different homes in this region……..you
call us and we will be there. A lot of people use us for special
occasions, home goes on the market, guests arriving. Clean windows
always make a home look fantastic.
What is
the procedure when you tackle
a home for the first time?
Ideally you want us to get your home as
clean as it can be. If needed we clean your frames, tracks,
screens, glass, mirrors, pool fence everything….., then
regular maintenance cleans often take significantly less time….hence
cost less.
Do
you clean
louvers, balcony/pool fence glass & colonial style glass?
Yes, if its glass we clean it. Louvres and colonial glass takes
a significantly more time but always looks amazing when we finish.

increase the perceived value of a home. Move out & bond

Comprehensive
scratched & damaged glass waiver
A major problem in the glass manufacturing,
installation & cleaning process is scratched or damaged
glass. There are a few reasons for scratched or damaged glass
on building sites.
1. During the manufacturing of glass (particularly toughened
glass) the "Roller" side of the glass picks up tiny
shards of glass from the rollers & bakes it right into the
glass. When a window cleaner runs his razor across that face
to remove builders mess the blade unavoidably picks up the tiny
shards which causes fine scratching. Normally an experienced
window cleaner can hear a gritty sound & feel what glass
will scratch when he puts razor to glass. We will always test
glass before razor bladeing it.
2. Due to environmental issues (sun baking builders mess on,
constant dust blown onto the glass & frames) & due to
often unavoidable builders mess & avoidable mess due to
a tradesman’s laziness leaving render, paint, grout, silicone,
tape, concrete splatter etc on glass & frames. Removing
this builders mess can be very difficult, sometimes impossible
without the use of a Razor blade. Sometimes even our lambs wool
soap applicators & industry standard white nylon scourers
can finely scratch the glass when there is a combination of
the 2 mentioned issues.
WE
WILL DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO AVOIDE SCRATCHING, DAMAGEING OR
MARKING GLASS & FRAMES DURING OUR BEST EFFORT TO DELIVER
CLEAN GLASS TO YOU………………………HOWEVER
I OR ANY OF MY TEAM WILL NOT BE LIABLE AT ALL FOR THE REPLACEMENT
OF GLASS OR FRAMES IF DAMAGED DURING THE CLEANING PROCESS.
Insurance companies now do not cover scratched or damaged glass
from the window cleaner’s end. (Other trades have the
same clause it seems). Having consulted to some of the insurance
companies on this very subject over the years I know they are
often reluctant to replace damaged glass. Hence, you need to
employ window cleaners who know what they are doing.
Only
our top experienced glass cleaners will put an essential razor
to glass. We know what we are doing with a blade, we change
blades very often, we know in an instant by feel & sound
of the razor on glass if the panel will be scratchy or not.
We will report any visible scratches or damage to the foreman
as soon as we spot the damage. Often, until we actually clean
the glass & the sun is directly on it do you see any damage.
We will always inform the foreman of any potential scratchy
glass issues before we tackle a builders clean.
Ways to avoid potential damage
Use the excellent quality paint on peel
off window protection on a building site. It isn’t that
expensive; it saves on cleaning costs at the end of the job
& virtually eliminates the chance of damaged glass.
(we can sort out this protection for you)
Insist that the trades (particularly renders & painters)
take care & properly protect the glass when working around
it. Especially, painters who use spray guns. These 2 trades
are usually the ones to blame at the end of a job for damaged
glass. Due to sheer the fact they don’t really care about
the cleaners at the end of the job. Don’t let them touch
the glass surface at all. Leave it to pros.
Insist to the glass companies & installers
that when installing particularly toughened glass; the embossed
sticker in the bottom corner faces outwards. This is usually
the side a cleaner can razor blade. Most serious builders muck
occurs on the exterior. (Except interior painters with spray
guns). Also insist that the glass leaves the factory with a
protective coating on it where possible.
Only let professional experienced window cleaners clean the
glass. Inexperienced cleaners usually have no idea of the problems
with scratchy glass. It seems in years gone by you could razorblade
glass. NOT ANY MORE. They often are the ones responsible for
scratches due to simply not knowing the pitfalls & characteristics
of modern glass manufacturing & cleaning requirements.
The responsibility comes back to the foreman, builder &
developer. You MUST do all you can to eliminate tradesmen leaving
builders debris on expensive modern glass. (particularly the
scratchy side of all toughened glass. Usually sliding, bi-fold
door glass or floor to sealing glass.) If you have protection
on the glass; let the glass cleaners remove it. Also if protection
has been on for a while exposed to the sun it can sometimes
be a bit tricky to remove.
By
possessing & reading this waiver, you now fully understand
the problems glass cleaners face on modern building sites. It
is your responsibility to do your best to avoid where possible
the situations mentioned above to ensure the best possible clean
glass outcome as WE ARE NOT LIABLE AT ALL. We will give our
very best effort to avoid damage. We will make a signed, dated
& witnessed receipt of the fact we have given you this document.

Why
did
you become a glass cleaner Matthew?
I believe everyone needs to have their
glass cleaned professionally. Look at the staggering amount
of glass these days. “Someone’s got to clean it……….!”
Who’s got the time or energy to do it properly? It’s
a service that people need on a regular basis. Most people say
they hate cleaning windows……….I love it!
" I enjoy taking on new challenges (& delivering).
Also meeting new people & building business relationships
into the future. I love new customers reactions when we can
turn filthy glass, tracks, screens & frames into display
home perfection with elbow grease, detergent, water & skill
in front of their eyes.
I’ve been a suit & tie guy for years, both here &
O’seas. I’d rather work outdoors & get the hands
dirty. Start early, finish in time to play with my kids in the
afternoon.”
I can see clearly now has grown quite
rapidly by practising honest work ethics & delivering what
we promise. The team are all pros that take pride in their job.
Our client base, both domestically & commercially, is very
large, mainly grown by word of mouth. This
business looks forward to future & and really does value
your business & support.
